Keeping My Eye On The Target - Weight loss

Well I am over six months in to my weight loss and my total loss is 58 pounds and counting. My next goal is a eight week goal of another 22 pounds. I have to be honest I have had days where I have strayed away from that dreaded D word "Diet". I may become unfocus but always in site is the target. When people hear I have lost that weight they always ask how are you doing. My key to success so far is three simple thoughts: Low-fat, Exercising and believing in myself!

I look in the mirror everyday and really do not see the difference. I see it throught photographs and an occassional item I put on that I had last year at this time. I have started my transitioning sizes in my wardrobe. Although I am one of the owners of this company I refrain from trying on clothing unless I need an item for a meeting or event. I am trying to not rent anything new but at every 20 pounds loss.

One thing I want to stress is your eye may come off the target for a day or so but I always find if I take five minutes before I go to bed and visualize myself where I want to be in a month it always helps to get me refocused. Short tems goals seem more obtainable then long term sometimes. Good luck this week!

Weight Loss Update

I’m doing it my way…

Well it has been six weeks already, and I have lost over seventeen pounds! I am truly happy with that, but I have to be honest I will be even happier when I hit the twenty pound mark. I need to get motivated and start exercising. In the upcoming weeks I am going to put a great deal of effort into getting the momentum to get on the stationary bike. I have made a promise to myself to not try on any new clothes until I lose an additional 15 pounds.

I also splurged and decided to purchase the Body Bugg. This is what you see on the contestants’ arms on “The Biggest Loser.” As a person that loves numbers I am going to try it. The theory behind the Body Bugg is that it measures the calories burned throughout the day while you input the calories you have consumed into the computer program. This will show you the calories deficit and every 3,500 calories = 1 pound. The hardest part is going to be keeping track of everything I eat. I will let everyone know how it works in case you are interested in purchasing one for yourselves.

Next week’s goal is to lose four pounds.

A New Addition To Our Inventory

A Touch of Mink

Well, it was a great movie with Doris Day and Cary Grant. However, what I’m talking about is you can really wear a full length, female pelt, natural black mink coat. Oh, so beautiful. How rich, not in money, but how rich you will feel wearing this fabulous coat. There is no better feeling and there is nothing like the feel of mink to make any occasion even more of an occasion than mink. Just think, walking into that special party with a full length mink on and have all heads turn your way. No better feeling than that. No better ego boost while you’re loosing weight to have all eyes on you. No, no mink coat will change the special person that you already are but it sure does help. Treat your self, don’t just wear it for just a special occasion, wear it everyday and every where while you this opportunity. This is not a splurge, this is every woman’s God given right to have a mink coat sometime in her life. Why wait until you’re an “older woman”, get it now while your young and can enjoy walking around feeling like a million dollars. How much are you worth? See, now you’re thinking. You know you’re worth it and more than anything you deserve it! Oh, “that touch of mink”.

Is Your Wardrobe Suffering From The Economy Blues

These days most of our extra money for clothes has gone out the window. We now seem to be paying higher prices for everything from gas to milk. Who can afford to go out and buy an amazing dress when all we are doing is cutting expenses?

Well, Transitional Sizes is here to offer you the best prices on everything from rentals to clothing purchases. Why not grab a few things and spruce up your wardrobe. Fight those wardrobe blues and snatch up a cashmere sweater for a ten dollar rental or how about a wrap to go with that little black dress. Why wear the same dress to another wedding when you can rent one for as little as ten dollars.

Don’t let your limited wardrobe get you down, just take a look at our website and order some rentals so that it only looks like you spent hundreds of dollars on a new closet full of clothes.

Being on the right track for weight loss…

Well I just finished Week Two of my weight loss program. I am happy to report a 9.6 pound loss for the last two weeks. I missed weigh in last week because I had another television interview. All the interviews I’ve been doing are giving me plenty of motivations to make these my before pictures. All I can say is “a picture is worth a thousand words.” When I lost a 100 pounds before it was after seeing a picture of myself from my 30th birthday. This time it was after seeing a picture Robert took of me in Canada while we were doing the interview with Timeline Magazine that has encouraged and motivated me to lose the weight again. The visuals have made me stop to think it is time to make a change.

The first two weeks were harder than I remember. Seven years ago it was a lot easier to lose. I do realize that I need to start the exercise regiment in my weekly activities for better results. I guess the biggest difference from the last time I tried to lose weight is now I have my mom dieting at the same time. So we started on the same day, and she lost 8.4 pounds her first two weeks. We both give each other inspiration, and it helps not to feel we are each alone on this. We spend every week together watching the Biggest Loser. This gives us motivation and enthusiasm for the upcoming week, and we get mother/daughter time.

So I reached my last blog goal, and for the next goal I would like to lose another 8 pounds before the Innovator of The Year Awards ceremony on October 15, 2008.

Biggest Loser Premieres Tonight

I decided today that with the Biggest Loser premier, I would start my life change and use the “Biggest Loser” as an inspiration. I’m not going to think of this as a diet but the beginning of the rest of my life. Diets don’t work! I have struggled with weight loss and weight gain, the “battle” as I put it, most of my life but this time it’s going to be different. I was able to loose one-hundred pounds before and I can do it again. Being through tremendous stress as I have experienced this last year, with my dream home burned to the ground, standing there with twenty-eight fire trucks, my three dogs and in my nightgown is when I realized food became my best friend. Prior to the burning down of my home, I had lost a great deal of weight, then gained it all back. I used food for comfort. Well the comforting is over and the battle of the scale is now on. My new best friend will be the scale, exercise and eating healthy. This time I’m stronger than ever to fight this battle and begin a new life style. TransitionalSizes.com is not just a business but a daily reminder of what I want, for you and me.
These are some of the steps I have developed for my weight loss program.

I joined a weight loss program today. Attended the meeting and weighed in with everyone else. The method one chooses, weather it be Weight Watchers, Diet Center, Jenny Craig or any of the other programs, is picking the program that best suites your needs.

The next step is implementing the exercise. Do not start an exercise program without consulting your Doctor. I’m starting with a stationary bike. Before my weight came back, I used to bike twenty-six miles a day. My goal is to exercise three days a week to start.

Inspirations I will incorporate:

  • I will watch “The Biggest Loser” every week. Watching the show you see more perspectives than just mine. My weigh in will be at the same time as when the contestants weight in.

  • I am going to write on a piece of paper the weight I want to loose every week and tape it to my mirror in the bathroom. This way, I will be reminded everyday of my goal for the week.

  • I am going to tape a picture that a reporter took of me for an article in reference to TransitionalSizes.com to the refrigerator and every time I might have a craving, I'll look at that picture and not have that snack I don't need.

  • I will attend my meetings every week and weigh in.

  • I am going to use TransitionalSizes.com to update my members and customers so we may share our progress.

So, here goes, the first day of the rest of my life. My goal for next week is seven pounds. Let’s wish each other luck!

Summer’s Over and School’s in Session

Time for some of us who enjoyed our vacation just a bit too much with
hot dogs, hamburgers, bar-b-que ribs, pasta salad (we were good some of the time), ice cream and more, more, more to get back on track. We may have put on a couple of, dare I say, pounds?? Well, I did. Now it’s time to get back to school, oops, I mean work. I have a few pounds to lose and in the mean time I have TransitionalSizes.com on my side, instead of a side of beef. TransitionalSizes.com has been working with me since school started in renting the size I’m in now and working towards the size I used to be, before the summer. I’m able to browse through an incredible selection of clothes for work and play, select what I want and have my “new to me” wardrobe sent to my home. As I work at watching my weight, working out and seeing the inches melt away, I start selecting my next size down. With TransitionalSizes.com working with me, I’m able to keep my wardrobe in a proper size that fits me and a wardrobe that’s fresh and up to date in the latest styles. I’m not sure about you but I don’t have the money it takes to drop a dress size or two buying brand new clothes from the mall. My membership with TransitionalSizes.com allows me to change sizes, have a wardrobe to die for, loose weight and none of my girlfriends are the wiser. Just kidding, all of my friends are members of Transitional Sizes too. Remember, we girls spent the summer together.
